North Central Baseball

2010 season starts in 28 days !

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

We had an outstanding effort and turnout at our 1st annual poker tournament. Over 100 players participated and had a great time. Special thanks to Bob Adsero, Jason Wederspahn, Jory Hustad, Jim Campasino, Sheri Wolfe and Michelle Hottell for selling tickets on our behalf. Also, thanks to the parent volunteers, Detailz event management and Northern Quest Casino. We made a decent amount of money but more importantly demonstrated that we could have a great time while raising money. We look forward to having the event again next year so please keep it in mind when making plans. If you have any comments (good or bad) please email me. Thanks again!

Poker champion - Scott McCallister

2nd Place - Matt Miethe

3rd place - Jason Wederspahn

1. Spirit Packs - Please see the information under the "Links" tab to make an order for your spirit pack. The cost is $100. You will receive two hats, a short sleeve shirt, long sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt, a pair of stirrups, and a helmet. If you don't have the $100, I would suggest being at the informational meeting to determine how to fundraise in order to offset the cost. Orders take two weeks to come in, so get yours ordered today. Students may get reimbursed from their summer accounts after placing the order. Simply give the receipt to Sheri Wolfe.

2. Now is a GREAT time to get prepared for tryouts. I know for a fact that "varsity" level players at the other GSL schools are running, lifting, throwing and hitting right now. Are you? If we want to compete we must prepare ourselves by working hard. Check out the "camps" tab to the left for information on pre-season opportunities. My best recommendation is to participate in the Blue Devils AMERICAN LEGION hitting program at the Warehouse. See the tab.

3. SUPPORT AMERICAN LEGION. Spokane is the host city for the NW Regional Tournament and the National Championships for the American Legion Senior Division. Help sell tickets or buy tickets by contacting Jim Campasino today. **Volunteer(s) needed - Any parent willing to serve as the parent representative for American Legion should email coach Harmon.

4. Conditioning. We need to come to tryouts strong, fit, and ready to go in order to compete, prevent injury and perform our best. Join us after school for workouts from 2:45 - 4:00 Monday - Thursday. This is open to ALL athletes.
