2010 Coaches
I'd like to take a moment to thank Brian Gardner. As many of you know, Brian took over the reigns of the North Central Football program in the fall of 2009. He is working diligently to re-build the program and get our athletes to prepare for the tough GSL season.
As a result of his commitment to forging ahead with the football program, Brian has decided to resign as the 9th grade baseball coach. Brian has spent the last 7 years in the baseball program and led two teams to the "best record" of the 9th grade level. Also, Brian was great at communicating with the other 9th grade baseball coaches and created a weekly "standings" when none was required. I also appreciate the fact the Brian has worked to provide a foundation for our baseball players and encouraged them to stay in the program. We will miss Brian, his rapport with the players, and his "Gard-Dog" mentality! I'm hoping to convince him to be the "voice" of the Indians home games.

I would like to seek parent volunteers for the following positions:
Banner coordinator - Keri Yirak has done a FANTASTIC job helping our program. I'd like to see if another parent of a younger player would be willing to help her and continue this effort
NC "Program" coordinator - Janelle Campasino worked on this project for 2009 and did a great job...again seeking another parent of a younger student to help with this
Poinsettia Sale coordinator - We need two parents who can help organize, order, and distribute the poinsettias during our annual fall fundraiser - all profits directly HELP your kids
Youth Camp coordinator - help me distribute flyers, seek sponsors to offset costs and help create an active data base of youth players
Elementary/Middle School coordinators - I need THREE parents to help with this...
Parent/Area A: Balboa, Indian Trail, Linwood, Madison
Parent/Area B: Audubon, Holmes, Garfield, Willard
Parent/Area C: Glover, Salk, Garry
If the parents could help identify future players that would be VERY helpful
Summer Teams - We are going to work very hard over the next 6 months to get these teams started. If we could get a couple of parents - specifically a couple who have coached at the youth level - could help advise me on how to start these teams it woudl be great! We're looking for....
A team that is entering 7th grade (i.e. the 2009-10 6th graders)
A team that is entering 8th grade (i.e. the 2009-10 7th graders)
Our "A" American legion team (i.e. the 2009-10 8th & 9th graders)
"AA" American legion team (i.e. 2009-10 9th-11th graders, and possibly some 8th graders)
If we could field these "feeder" teams with NC-bound kids we'll get right back into hunting for a GSL championship.
